Unit 10 I can't believe this is the last week of class

Back in Unit 3 of this course we did a reflection score based on a self-assessment of what we needed to work on for our blog and I gave myself these scores.   A-physical well being (my score was a 5), B-spiritual well-being (my score was an 8), C-psychological well-being (my score was a 5) and I still feel that these scores are an accurate assessment of my development thus far.

I feel as though I have started to make progress on the goals I have set for myself in unit 3 and these are some of the things I have set in motion to reach those goals.  Physical-have already started walking daily to help with this goal. I have also started taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator and parking my care in the furthest spot away from the entrance (it’s a least a 10 minute walk to the hospital from my parking space).  Spirit- like I said going to back to church regularly since my schedule changed this past month has really helped strengthen my faith and I am also using meditation and the loving kindness exercise daily to help my spiritual growth.  It is nice to start the day with a positive outlook and end the day with a relaxing attitude.  Psychological- I’m still going to re-evaluate my stance at the end of the year.

I would have to say that my experiences in this class have been for the most part a positive growth in my own personal development.  It gave me a new perceptive to view the world in and I have to say that I’m happier now with my new outlook.  The meditation that I use daily has really affected my stress levels to where I’m not as frustrated at work or with my family as I used to be.  It is helping me become a more positive person.  It has made me realize that life is way too short to be angry and upset all the time.  Look for joy and love a guess what you will find it.  I can't believe this is the last week of class, I had fun with this class and it taught me a lot about myself (not all of it pleasant but honest) and I wish everyone in class the best for their future endeavors.

  1. I like how you mention walking and taking the stairs at work. It is amazing how things that are so small and so simple make such a difference in our lives. Isn't it interesting how our lives can be so different in just a few weeks after taking a class like this!

  2. Donna,
I have to agree that this class has taught me something about myself both good and bad. I also had the same experiences in reference to stress. I have found a way to drastically improve my outlook on life in a matter of weeks.

Your new perspective on life will be a valuable tool in helping you achieve the goals that you have set for yourself. I commend you for the steps already taken and encourage you to keep going. Best of luck!

  3. Congratulations on your new perspective. Sometimes its all you need. The great thing is when we figure out it was in us the whole time. Stress has been a huge factor for me as well.

    Wishing you luck -
